HCMC – High-speed ferry services between Vung Tau and Con Dao Island will resume later this month, operator Phu Quoc Express said.

The company plans to redeploy the Thang Long high-speed vessel, which has a capacity of more than 1,000 passengers, on the Vung Tau–Con Dao route starting February 26, the 10th day of the Lunar New Year holiday.

On the first day of resumed operations, the ferry will depart Vung Tau at 7:30 a.m. for Con Dao and return from the island at 1 p.m. the same day.

From February 27 to March 15, the service is scheduled to operate from Vung Tau to Con Dao on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with a travel time of around three hours and 30 minutes. On other days, the ferry will depart Con Dao at around 1 p.m. for Vung Tau.

The operator said ticket prices in 2026 will remain unchanged. It is also considering increasing service frequency on the route, depending on weather conditions and travel demand.
