HCMC – The day and night perspectives of Nguyen Hue Flower Street for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026 have been unveiled, highlighting a large-scale floral installation combined with lighting, mapping and augmented reality (AR) technologies.
Under the theme “Spring Convergence – Steady Steps Forward,” the flower street will open to the public from 7:00 p.m. on February 15 to 9:00 p.m. on February 22, 2026 (the 28th day of the last lunar month through the sixth day of Tet).
According to Truong Duc Hung, general director of Saigontourist Group and head of the organizing committee, this is the first time in its 23-year history that Nguyen Hue Flower Street will offer two distinct experiential styles, which are daytime and nighttime, within the same space.
“The integration of mapping and AR technologies helps tell the story of a young, dynamic megacity, where history intersects with modern urban life,” Hung said.

Continuing tradition, the area around the statue of President Ho Chi Minh will feature a brilliant yellow apricot blossom garden created by artisans from Binh Loi apricot village in HCMC, showcasing the distinctive spirit of Tet in southern Vietnam.
Daytime: A vibrant palette under spring sunshine

The large-scale installation “Ly Ngua O,” inspired by southern folk melodies, adds a cheerful atmosphere with lively forms and a modern blue-purple color palette.
Nighttime: A festival of light and technology
As night falls, Nguyen Hue Flower Street transforms into a vibrant light-art space, combining advanced lighting systems with interactive elements.

In addition, AR technology has been upgraded via the TikTok platform, allowing visitors to experience galloping horse visuals at the entrance using their smartphones without installing additional applications, offering unique check-in moments during Tet.
