HCMC – The total number of Covid-19 cases today, June 10, reached 219, with 59 domestic cases and two imported ones that the Ministry of Health reported this evening, June 10.
Of the total domestic cases, 23 were found in Bac Giang, 20 in HCMC, 12 in Bac Ninh and two each in Tien Giang and Ha Tinh. Fifty seven cases were detected at quarantine facilities or in areas under lockdown.
Meanwhile, two imported cases were recorded in Tay Ninh.
Today, 72 patients were announced to have recovered from Covid-19, raising the country’s total number of recovered patients to 3,708.
The recovered patients today included two men who had been treated at the Bac Giang Lung Hospital. They were the first critical patients in the province to make a full recovery.
Bac Giang vice chairman Mai Son applauded doctors and other medical workers for treating critical patients and asked recovered patients to quarantine themselves at home for 14 days and strictly follow anti-pandemic measures.
Meanwhile, another critical Covid-19 patient who is a resident of An Giang Province and is being treated at the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases has stopped using the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine after 26 days.
When he was transferred to the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases, his lungs were only 10-20% operative. He also suffered from respiratory failure, diabetes and high blood pressure and had poor response to treatment for many days.
In related news, 378 out of the 484 people in close contact with a Covid-19 patient in PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd, in Binh Tan District have tested negative for Covid-19. The results of the remaining samples have yet to be worked out.
In addition, 145 people working in the same factory with a female worker in the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone in District 7 have tested negative for Covid-19.
