HCMC – Hue City plans to shift all newly invested buses to green energy, primarily electricity, by the end of 2025, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
The policy covers both existing and new bus routes. Under the city’s Plan No. 305/KH-UBND, Hue aims to have 60% of taxis and 30% of contracted passenger transport vehicles running on electricity between 2025 and 2030.
Hoang Hai Minh, vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Hue City, said the city will build a network of electric vehicle charging stations by the end of 2025 to support transport operators. By 2030, charging stations will be available in every ward and commune to serve individuals and businesses.
