HCMC – Big numbers of Vietnamese people have been queuing up to pay their last respects to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at three different locations in the country – the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi; Lai Da Village, Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi; and the Reunification Palace in HCMC.
Vietnam yesterday started the respect-paying ceremonies in the three places simultaneously as part of the two-day State funeral in honor of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee. The ceremonies last until 1 p.m. today.
A memorial service takes place at 1 p.m. today, followed by his burial at the Mai Dich Cemetery at 3 p.m. on the same day in Hanoi City.
