HCMC – In celebration of 25 years in Vietnam, Intertek, a global business in quality assurance, unveiled its first sustainability think tank, uniting government and academia to map a 12-month green roadmap for the nation.

This first-of-its-kind “Center of Excellence in Sustainability” marks Intertek’s commitment to Vietnam’s growth, recognizing its dynamic trajectory as a manufacturing hub and its ambitious climate goals.

CEO André Lacroix said, “We want to seize this opportunity to bring together influential stakeholders from the Government and academia, alongside Intertek’s technical experts, to create a sustainability roadmap that will unlock new opportunities generated by the transition to Net Zero and guarantee the future prosperity of the Vietnamese people.”

The initiative has high-profile members like Dr. Le Dinh Tien, former deputy minister of Science and Technology, and partnerships with VOS Ecosystem and Vietnam National University of Forestry.

A signed MOU with the Ministry of Labor, witnessed by Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, has reaffirmed the government’s support for Intertek’s vision. “Intertek’s strategic direction perfectly aligns with Vietnam’s vision, marking a powerful partnership in pursuit of shared goals,” said Minister Dung.
