Int’l expo for horticultural, floricultural production opens in HCMC

HCMC – The fifth International Exhibition and Conference for Horticultural and Floricultural Production and Processing Technology (HortEx Vietnam 2023) is taking place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7 from March 1 to 3.

The exhibition is being organized by the Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Company (VEAS) under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

HortEx Vietnam has become Southeast Asia’s largest professional meeting place for businesses and experts in the vegetable, flower and fruit industries. It creates good opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to access advanced technology, according to Nguyen Ba Vinh, director of VEAS.

The event is attended by over 200 companies from 25 countries and territories, including Belgium, China, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the U.S., and the UK.

The Flower Showcase introduces a variety of special flowers to visitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Dalat Hasfarm, such as tulips, roses, moth orchids and flamingo lilies.

Meanwhile, the fruit display area features various Vietnamese fruit specialties, such as coconut, durian, dragon fruit, mango, avocado, grapefruit, and mandarin.

HortEx Vietnam 2023 also attracts many experts and visitors with many seminars, business connection programs and exhibitions of agri-products and technology.

Additionally, the Vegetable and Fruits Export Forum runs alongside the HortEx Vietnam 2023 for two days, from March 1 to 2, and covers exporting vegetables, flowers and fruits to potential markets as well as standards for products exported to the EU.

HortEx Vietnam 2023 will last until March 3 and aims to attract around 8,000 commercial visitors.
