HCMC – Keppel Corporation, through its Infrastructure Division, has inaugurated its intelligent Operations Nerve Center in Thu Duc City, HCMC.

The center utilizes a proprietary algorithm to remotely monitor and optimize Keppel’s energy assets across Vietnam in real-time, leveraging digital technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

During the opening ceremony, Keppel announced contracts valued at over US$70 million, securing long-term, recurring Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) agreements with prominent establishments such as Republic Holiday Inn, Republic Suites Plaza, Estella Place in HCMC, as well as Grand Mercure Hotel and Resort in Quang Binh Province.

Keppel will design and retrofit the cooling systems of these developments to enhance energy efficiency and asset performance. The projects are expected to offset over 3,500 tons of carbon emissions annually.

The launch of Keppel’s Operations Nerve Center aims to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of EaaS solutions, delivering both sustainability performance and economic value to customers and users.

Poh Tiong Keng, general manager of the Infrastructure Division of Keppel in Vietnam and India, said, “Our subscription-based EaaS solution, which includes energy supply, cooling, decarbonization and smart energy management, enables businesses and building owners to enjoy significant energy savings without heavy upfront investments for businesses and building owners.”

Keppel Corporation noted that these developments are not expected to have a material impact on its earnings per share and net tangible asset per share for the company’s current financial year, according to Keppel’s official statement.
