HCMC – Domestic gold bar prices picked up to nearly VND91 million per tael this morning, May 22, reported local media.
At around 9 a.m., HCMC-based Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed SJC gold bars at VND88.9 million per tael for buying and VND90.9 million for selling, up by VND200,000 against yesterday’s close. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 troy ounces.
The Hanoi-based jewelry firm Doji bought gold bars at VND88.9 million per tael and sold them at VND90.5 million per tael, up VND100,000 per tael.
Domestic gold ring prices also inched up.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau, gold rings were purchased at VND76.16 million per tael and sold at VND77.66 million per tael. Phu Quy capped its gold ring prices at VND76.1 million per tael for buying and VND77.6 million for selling.
