HCMC – The Mekong Delta province of Long An has approved a site clearance compensation plan for a section of HCMC Beltway No. 3 that will pass through its Ben Luc District, reported the local media.
The 76.34-km HCMC Beltway No. 3 connects HCMC and three neighboring provinces — Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An.
Ben Luc District authorities earlier met with residents of My Yen, Tan Hoa and Tan Buu communes through which the beltway will pass to seek their feedback on the compensation plan, cited the Vietnam News Agency. There are 380 households affected by the project with a land area of over 43 hectares.
Under the compensation plan, approved on March 20, the project’s maximum compensation rate would be VND1.2 billion per square meter and the minimum rate at VND568,000 per square meter.
The compensation will start at the end of this month so that land could be cleared timely and work on the road project could begin in June this year.
The Ben Luc District, Long An Province section of the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project is 6.37 km long and costs VND3,040 billion.
HCMC Beltway No. 3 has eight components and cost a total of VND75,378 billion.
