At the ceremony to announce top 100 sustainable companies 2022 in Vietnam, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam was voted by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) as one of the most sustainable companies in Vietnam in 2022.
To achieve this noble recognition, Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam has met the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) for 2022 with 130 criteria on law compliance and sustainability initiatives.
As one of the leading food companies in Vietnam pursuing sustainable growth with well-known snack brands like Kinh Do, Cosy, Solite, AFC, LU, Oreo, Ritz, Slide, Halls, Trident, Cadbury, Toblerone and Tang orange powder…, Mondelez Kinh Do has pioneered in the ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) approach that is designed with the goal of enabling the company to deliver lasting change at scale by prioritizing where it can have the greatest impact, focusing on innovative and measurable solutions. The company has built an action plan to actualize its commitment to comprehensive sustainable strategies of ESG.
Mondelez Kinh Do has been performing changes in operation towards green production. The company has installed solar panels in its Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi plants, converted manufacturing electricity footprint to renewable energy; replaced fossil fuels (natural gas, diesel etc) by ‘green alternatives’, put water and food waste reduction programs across the supply chain into action; improved the efficiency of distribution networks by route optimization, improved container and truck utilization, and invested in new mobility concepts among others.
Last week, in recognition of unwavering efforts to grow a green, healthy community with impactful activities, Mondelez Kinh Do was honored in the ESG Impact Awards 2022, which was held for the first time by Amcham Vietnam, and awarded AmCham Hanoi CSR Awards for best CSR practices for 5 consecutive years.
Not only being recognized as a sustainable enterprise, Mondelez Kinh Do is also known as one of the best places to work in Vietnam as well. This year marks the fourth consecutive year Mondelez Kinh Do is named in the top “100 Vietnam Best Places to Work” announced by Anphabe in collaboration with market research firm Intage.
The awards are the recognition for the company’s tireless and bold endeavors to perform breakthrough product innovation, to build a better workplace for our people, and to advance a positive impact on the environment and society.
