HCMC – Several airports in Vietnam are facing potential disruptions as super typhoon Yagi is approaching the coast of northern Vietnam, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
Northern airports expected to be affected by the typhoon include Van Don in Quang Ninh, Cat Bi in Haiphong, Noi Bai in Hanoi, and Tho Xuan in Thanh Hoa.
The CAAV has also advised other airports, including Vinh in the north-central province of Nghe An and Dien Bien in the mountainous province of Dien Bien, to be on high alert as the storm might change direction.
The CAAV has instructed all relevant agencies to remain on standby and follow standard procedures for storm and tropical depression response in civil aviation.
The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) has directed air traffic services to monitor and update weather conditions and issue necessary advisories.
