HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on relevant ministries, agencies and local authorities to speed up the construction of the 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line so that it can be inaugurated in time for the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
On July 22, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with relevant agencies over the construction of the 519-km power line, running from Pho Noi, Hung Yen Province to Quang Trach, Quang Binh Province, and passing through nine provinces including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
Work on the VND22 trillion project began in January 2024. Compensation and site clearance work have been completed, and all sites for the power transmission tower foundations and the corridor along the line have been handed over.
To date, construction contractors have completed the installation of 1,003 out of 1,177 transmission towers.
During the meeting, the PM requested local authorities address compensation and resettlement for residents, ensuring they relocate to new homes in places where their living conditions are at least equal to or better than their previous places.
The PM assigned the Ministry of National Defense to collaborate with EVN to mobilize forces and equipment for the construction of the project.
He also urged all units and localities to strive to complete the project in time to celebrate the upcoming 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
