HCMC – The National Assembly has passed resolutions relieving Nguyen Van The from the position of Minister of Transport, and Tran Sy Thanh from the ministerial-level position of Auditor General, paving the way for elections of two new ministers.
The resolutions were announced by NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue this morning.
The NA Standing Committee has introduced Ngo Van Tuan as a candidate for the post of Auditor General. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has proposed Nguyen Van Thang, Party secretary of Dien Bien Province, as a candidate for the post of Minister of Transport and Dao Hong Lan, acting Minister of Health, as a candidate for the post of Minister of Health.
The results of the elections are expected to be announced late this afternoon.
