HCMC – Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway as part of the Eastern North-South expressway will be completed at the end of next month, which is around three months ahead of schedule.
Son Hai Group, the investor of the Nha Trang-Cam Lam expressway which runs through the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, has written to the Ministry of Transport seeking approval to authorize the completion of the expressway section by the end of next month to serve the rising travel demand during the summer travel season.
With a total length of 49 kilometers, the section starts in Dien Tho Commune, Dien Khanh District, and ends in Cam Thinh Tay Commune, Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province.
This project, developed under the public-private partnership format, needs over VND7.6 trillion, of which around VND2,967 billion comes from the State budget.
The cost recovery period is expected to last 16 years and four months.
Work on this section started in September 2021 and was previously set to be completed in the third quarter of 2023. The project is managed by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Unit under the Ministry of Transport.
