Noi Bai Int’l airport among top 100 airports for fifth year

Must read

HCMC – Noi Bai International Airport in the capital city of Hanoi has been listed among the world’s top 100 airports for the fifth consecutive year in 2020, despite difficulties facing the global aviation sector due to the ongoing health crisis.

Skytrax, a U.K.-based consultancy that runs a yearly airline and airport review based on votes by international air travelers, recently released the annual ranking.

To achieve this result despite difficulties faced by the global and local aviation industry, great efforts were made to improve the airport’s service quality, stated an Airports Corporation of Vietnam representative.

Specifically, the airport asked non-aviation businesses and taxi service providers operating at the airport to ensure the provision of high-quality services and addressed any violations.

It also operated channels to receive and handle passenger feedback through email, hotlines, the official website, social media and the Esmile platform. Last year, these channels responded to 360 passenger feedback requests, up 19% year-on-year. Besides this, the Hanoi-based airport enhanced its landscape and facilities.

Also, according to the ranking from Skytrax, Danang International Airport in the central coastal city of the same name has made it into the global top 10 improved airports in 2020.

Earlier, international terminal T2 at Danang airport was recognized for its four-star services last year. Following this recognition, the airport operator took steps to improve its service quality and other facilities as recommended by Skytrax, such as setting up additional information boards and a flight information display system as well as reducing noise at the terminal.
