HCMC – Nutifood Nutrition Food JSC has donated VND10 billion to assist residents in Gia Lai Province affected by Storm Kalmaegi.

The donation ceremony took place at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Quy Nhon Ward, Gia Lai, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and provincial leaders.

Kalmaegi, the 13th storm that has hit the country this year, caused widespread damage across Gia Lai and nearby areas. According to the provincial People’s Committee, total losses exceeded VND5 trillion, the highest in recent years. Two people died, many were injured, tens of thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed, infrastructure was disrupted, and agriculture and fisheries suffered heavy losses.

In response, local authorities and rescue teams mobilized quickly to restore homes, infrastructure, and essential services. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Gia Lai on November 13 to assess the situation and called on businesses and citizens to support recovery efforts ahead of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

Nutifood’s donation, managed by the Gia Lai Fatherland Front Committee, will reach the most affected communities. “Our hope is to help residents rebuild their lives and restore livelihoods as quickly as possible,” said Le Nguyen Hoa, vice chairman of Nutifood.

Provincial leaders expressed gratitude for the company’s timely support, noting it reflects corporate social responsibility and solidarity with communities in need.

Nutifood, celebrating 25 years, has consistently prioritized community welfare, contributing to disaster relief, Covid-19 support, nutrition programs, and long-term social initiatives.

In 2025, the company also launched a VND1 trillion pedestrian bridge over the Saigon River, symbolizing gratitude to consumers and its commitment to sustainable public health initiatives.
