HCMC – Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (HOSE: OCB) reported VND5.046 trillion in pre-tax profit in 2025, up 25.9% year-on-year, according to its newly released fourth-quarter financial statements.
In Q4/2025, OCB’s total operating income reached around VND3.77 trillion, rising 28.5% quarter-on-quarter and 17.1% year-on-year. Core income continued to improve, with net interest income climbing to VND2.48 trillion from the previous quarter, supported by expanding business scale.
By December 31, 2025, OCB’s total assets stood at about VND322.98 trillion, up 16.8% from a year earlier and equivalent to 102% of its full-year target. Market one deposits (funds mobilized from individual and domestic corporate customers) totaled VND220.96 trillion, increasing 14.8% year-on-year and fulfilling 101% of the plan, while Market one credit outstanding, or loans extended to customers, reached VND205.07 trillion, up 13.6% from the start of the year.
Closing the trading session today, January 30, OCB shares rose by 0.85% to close at VND11,800, with more than 1.48 million shares changing hands, valuing the company at approximately VND31.4 trillion.
The VN-Index gained 14.06 points, or 0.77%, to end at 1,829.04 points, with 213 gainers and 118 decliners. Trading volume exceeded 875.7 million shares worth VND28.29 trillion, up 21% in volume and 11% in value from the previous session.
Banking stocks VCB, TCB and BID were among the largest contributors, adding nearly six points to the index. BID surged 3.9% to VND53,900, TCB gained 2.9% to VND35,900, while VCB edged up 1%.
Gains were widespread in the VN30 basket, led by VJC, which climbed 4% to VND170,500; MWG, up 3.8% to VND92,900; BCM, gaining 3.2% to VND68,100; and TPB, rising 3% to VND17,200.
On the downside, no bluechip recorded a sharp fall. HPG, FPT, and SSB slipped between 1.1% and nearly 2.5%, while VHM edged lower and VIC ended flat.
On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index rose 3.41 points, or 1.35%, to 256.13 points, with 94 gainers and 72 decliners. Trading volume reached more than 95.7 million shares valued at VND2.29 trillion.
