HCMC – A pickup truck yesterday crashed into multiple motorcycles at an intersection in the southern province of Binh Duong, killing one person and injuring three others.
The road accident occurred at around 5 p.m., said local news reports.
The pickup truck driven by Tong Thanh Tinh, aged 37, was traveling on Provincial Road No.743 from Tan Uyen City towards Thuan An City.
When reaching An Phu 3 Intersection, it collided with a series of motorcycles and then veered onto the sidewalk, knocking trees and traffic signs.
The collision left a 34-year-old man from Nam Dinh dead and three others injured, and caused a serious traffic snarl on the road.
Preliminary tests conducted by Thuan An City Police showed that the pickup truck driver tested negative for drugs and alcohol. Local police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
