HCMC – Members of the 13th Party Central Committee came to Hanoi City today for a mid-term meeting intended to review the leadership of the Politburo and the Secretariat, and some key tasks till the end of the 2021-2026 tenure.
The Party Central Committee will also cast a vote of confidence on members of the Politburo and the Secretariat, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
The meeting is significant to the execution of the resolutions adopted at the 13th National Party Congress in early 2021.
The committee will review the achievements made since the beginning of the tenure, identify bottlenecks and their causes, and analyse the new situation with both opportunities and challenges to propose policies and decisions for the second half of the term.
The meeting will make decisions on issues of utmost significance to the completion of the political tasks of the Party Central Committee from now to the end of the term in 2026 amid domestic and global uncertainties.
