Sweltering heat wave hits various regions in Vietnam

HCMC – Intense heat waves are sweeping across numerous parts of Vietnam, with temperatures in some areas soaring above 40 degrees Celsius, according to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting.

Northern provinces such as Hoa Binh and Son La, along with the central region from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue, are experiencing scorching heat during the daytime. Temperatures in these regions are expected to range from 37 to 40 degrees Celsius on April 3 and 4, with some areas even surpassing 40 degrees Celsius.

In Hanoi, temperatures are forecast to range from 24 to 26 degrees Celsius at their lowest and from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius at their highest, with certain areas exceeding 35 degrees Celsius.

The northwestern and central regions from Danang to Phu Yen, as well as the southern region, are also enduring intense heat waves, with temperatures typically ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels have decreased to between 50% and 55%, exacerbating the heat.

Some areas may see temperatures rising to 37 degrees Celsius. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to provide relief at night in the southern region.
