HCMC – Vietnam has offered VND191 trillion in tax and fee relief this year, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
The support, which includes waivers, reductions, and deferred payments for taxes, fees, and land rents, was announced at a conference on tax and customs policies held on December 10. The ministry said the measures aim to mitigate the economic challenges posed by global market pressures affecting industries and livelihoods.
Of the total relief, extended deadlines for tax and land rent payments cost the state budget VND95 trillion, while tax and fee reductions were valued at VND96 trillion.
Key measures included cutting the environmental protection tax on fuel, reducing the value-added tax by two percentage points on selected goods and services, and lowering or waiving various fees and charges.
These actions have supported businesses and citizens, contributing to economic stability and recovery efforts, according to the ministry.
