HCMC – The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) is conducting administrative reviews of several items imported from Vietnam and currently subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties, according to Vietnam’s Trade Remedies Authority.

The products under review include paper shopping bags, steel nails, lawn mowers, stainless steel tubes, and light truck tires.

Each product is assigned a specific investigation code and review period. Paper shopping bags (code A-552-836) are under anti-dumping review from January 3, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

Steel nails (code A-552-818), stainless steel mechanical tubing (code A-552-816) and lawn mowers and parts (code A-552-830) are under review from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

Light truck tires (code C-552-829) are under countervailing duty review from January 1 to December 31, 2024.

The Trade Remedies Authority said stakeholders have 30 days from the DOC’s review announcement date, July 30, 2025, to register as interested parties and must submit their review requests by July 31.

If no request is made, the DOC will notify U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to finalize the collection of previously posted deposits.

Under U.S. regulations, within 35 days of the Federal Register publishing the initiation notice (expected on August 4, 2025), the DOC will select mandatory respondents based on CBP data. It may also issue quantity and value questionnaires to determine the respondents.

Additionally, within 90 days of the initiation notice, parties may withdraw their review requests, subject to extension.

The Trade Remedies Authority urges affected exporters to stay informed, follow U.S. procedures, and coordinate with Vietnamese authorities to protect their interests.
