HCMC – Uniqlo Vietnam, in collaboration with the Hope Foundation, recently inaugurated a new school site in Mu Cang Chai District in the northern province of Yen Bai.
The newly constructed facility features two classrooms, a kitchen, and a restroom, and it is a valuable addition to the Hoa Hue Preschool in Ho Bon Commune, Mu Cang Chai District. The total funding for these facilities amounted to nearly VND1 billion.
Starting in August, Uniqlo organized the UTme! T-shirt design contest with the theme “Vietnamese-Japanese Connection,” attracting the participation of young talented artists nationwide. The five winning artworks were printed on T-shirts and sold at four Uniqlo stores in Hanoi and HCMC. The entire revenue generated from this collection until December 2023 was allocated towards constructing school facilities.
In addition to the school infrastructure support, Uniqlo Vietnam also donated 4,000 products from the RE.UNIQLO program, including children’s clothing, men’s and women’s jackets, and winter accessories, to students and residents in Mu Cang Chai District.
