HCMC – Vietnam Airlines Group has begun its first ticket sale for the Lunar New Year holiday in early 2025, offering nearly 1.5 million seats across its domestic flight network.
The travel period will run from January 13 to February 12, 2025, corresponding to the 14th day of the 12th lunar month to the 15th day of the first lunar month.
Additional ticket sales will follow, based on slot allocations from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
The primary flight routes during the Lunar New Year season will focus on the major cities of Hanoi, Danang, and HCMC, along with provinces such as Haiphong, Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Pleiku, Dalat, Buon Ma Thuot, and Phu Quoc.
Tickets are available for purchase starting September 16 on the Vietnam Airlines website, mobile apps, or authorized ticket agents.
Due to a shortage of aircraft caused by the grounding of Airbus A321NEO jets, Vietnam Airlines plans to increase flight frequencies, lease more aircraft, and accelerate the reception of new planes, including Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A320 models, throughout the year.
