HCMC – Vietnamese companies will be supported in exporting goods directly into the vast network of convenience stores in the United States.
This is part of commitments mentioned in a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed yesterday between the Association of Vietnam Retailers (AVR) and the U.S. National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), establishing a strategic cooperation framework for the 2026-2030 period.
Additionally, Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will be strategically guided to develop an integrated retail model that combines traditional fuel stations, EV charging hubs and convenience stores to diversify revenue streams and enhance value-added services.
According to the MOU, the two associations will prioritize five key areas of cooperation. This includes exchanging management expertise to improve the operation of modern retail systems and implementing joint human capital programs to upgrade management capabilities. Furthermore, the partnership will facilitate the sharing of digital transformation solutions, technological applications, and innovation strategies.
The two sides also committed to fostering business networking, promoting trade and investment, and steering the retail industry toward greener and more sustainable practices.
