Viettel Construction targets profit growth of 3.8% in 2026

HCMC – Viettel Construction (HOSE: CTR) has set a target of 3.8% growth in after-tax profit for 2026, as the company looks to expand into renewable energy and overseas markets.

The firm expects total revenue to rise 11% year-on-year to over VND15.65 trillion, with net-profit projected at VND622.4 billion, up 3.8%, according to its business plan.

Revenue at the parent company is forecast at around VND13.7 trillion, with after-tax profit of VND596 billion and return on equity estimated at 26.8%.

CTR said it will prioritize investment in renewable energy, including wind and solar power, and is studying the possibility of getting involved in social housing development projects.

The company is also exploring opportunities in the Dominican Republic as part of efforts to expand internationally.

In its core construction business, CTR aims to strengthen its B2B segment and position itself as a contractor for large-scale and nationally significant projects, while expanding its business to the consumer segment to target a leading share in the turnkey housing market.

Closing the trading session today, April 7, CTR inched up 0.96% against yesterday’s session, to VND84,000, with 126,700 shares changing hands.

At the close, the Hochiminh Stock Exchange saw 161 gainers and 140 decliners, with the VN-Index rising 2.55 points, or 0.15%, to 1,677.54.

Total trading volume reached more than 612.5 million shares, with a value of VND15.15 trillion, down over 8% in volume and 15% in value compared with the previous session. Block deals accounted for more than 97.6 million shares, worth around VND1.77 trillion.

LPB led gains in the VN30 basket as it rose more than 4% to VND48,000, while most other stocks posted modest increases, with SSI and DGC up over 2% and VIC, SHB and VPB edging up by more than 1%.

SHB was the most actively traded stock on the exchange with more than 51.8 million shares transacted, while VIC was the biggest contributor to the VN-Index, adding around three points.

On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index rose 1.67 points, or 0.68%, at 246.7. More than 56.3 million shares worth VND989.1 billion were traded.
