HCMC – Vinh International Airport in the north-central province of Nghe An will be closed for six months, from July 1 to December 31, for runway repair and maintenance, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
CAAV has sent an official notice to Nghe An Province regarding the temporary closure of Vinh airport to carry out construction, equipment supply, and installation under a project to repair the runway and taxiways.
Under the plan, Vinh will be closed from 00:00 on July 1 until the end of 2025.
The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and the airport’s authority have been instructed to implement the construction in accordance with the approved plan and bear full responsibility for safety, environmental protection, fire prevention, and disease control.
ACV is also required to submit the approved construction documents to the Northern Airports Authority for inspection and monitoring, and to ensure compliance with all conditions throughout the construction period.
