HCMC – Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province has greenlit a VND2-trillion project to build a road connecting Vung Tau City and the forthcoming Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway.
The project aims to shorten travel time between Bien Hoa and Vung Tau cities, boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.
The nearly-three-kilometer road will commence at the access road to the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway and end at September 2 Road. With a width of 29.5 meters, it will boast four traffic lanes, enabling a maximum speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
A substantial portion of the investment, totaling VND1,100 billion, is earmarked for site clearance, with construction slated to last from 2024 to 2028. The completion of the road is poised to spur development along its path, and bolstering socio-economic growth in the coastal city and the province as a whole.
The VND17.8-trillion Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway comprises three sections, and has a total length of nearly 54 kilometers. The first section spanning 16 kilometers is developed by Dong Nai Province. The construction of the second section with a length of 18.2 kilometers lies with the Ministry of Transport. Meanwhile, Ba Ria-Vung Tau is the investor of the third section spanning 19.5 kilometers.
