HCMC – Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco), the city’s water supply provider, has announced a two-day service outage in eight districts this weekend.
Water supplies will be shut off or curtailed on the evening of October 1 and the following morning due to maintenance at the Hoa Phu pump station and the Tan Hiep water plant.
Sawaco said that the work would begin from 10 p.m. on October 1 to 4 a.m. on October 2.
As a result, water supply will be turned off in the entire Binh Tan District and partially cut off in districts 6, 8, Tan Binh, Tan Phu and Binh Chanh.
Additionally, Hoc Mon District and several areas in the districts of Tan Binh, Go Vap, Tan Phu, 12 and Binh Chanh may see water shortages for a while.
Sawaco stated that it was prepared to deliver and distribute water through water tank trucks and to deal with potential issues that arise.
