HCMC – Yeah1 Group Corporation (HOSE: YEG) plans to issue 54.8 million shares to raise VND548 billion next Monday, January 20.
Shareholders will be eligible to purchase 40 new shares at VND10,000 each for every 100 shares held. The subscription and payment period runs from February 3 to March 3.
If successful, the firm will increase its charter capital to VND1.9 trillion. Proceeds will be used to finance debt repayment and business operations.
Yeah1 will allocate VND211 billion to 1Production Company, VND127.09 billion to loans for acquiring shares in Yeah1 Edigital JSC, and VND100.06 billion to loans linked to Netlink Vietnam Communication Technology JSC. VND62.4 billion will go to debt repayment to Vietinbank, and VND47.46 billion to working capital.
The share issue follows the company’s September 2024 approval for a 40% share offering to existing shareholders, aiming to strengthen its financial position.
Closing the trading session today, January 13, YEG shot up to its ceiling price of VND15,750, with a trading volume of over four million shares.
With 206 winners and 191 losers, the VN-Index gained 5.17 points, or 0.42%, to end at 1,235.65 points, supported by rises of bank, securities, and steel stocks.
Trade volume on the southern exchange reached 519.7 million shares valued at a total of VND12.1 trillion, up 4% in volume and 7.87% in value over the session earlier. Block deals accounted for over 85.67 million shares worth VND2.83 trillion.
The VN30-Index, which tracks the 30 largest-cap stocks, added over five points to 1,298.34 points. Within the VN30 basket, 18 bluechips advanced, seven others declined, and five remained flat.
Notable gainers included VCB and TCB, which contributed a combined 1.5 points. VPB was the steepest decliner in the group, down 1.08% to VND18,300.
Bank stocks performed well, with TCB, MBB, and EIB gaining more than 1%. HDB rose 0.5%, ranking second in market liquidity with 14.7 million shares traded. Foreign investors bought a net 3.3 million HDB shares.
In the securities sector, HCM rose 2.4%, while SSI and VCI improved 1.9% each. FPS and ORS added 3.42% and 4.5%, respectively. VIX dipped 0.9% but it was the most actively traded stock on the market with 17.5 million shares transacted.
Steel stocks also made gains. HPG advanced 1.4% to VND25,900 per share, with a trading volume of 13.58 million shares. HSG increased 1.5% to VND17,400, while NKG declined 0.4%.
The HNX-Index moved sideways with a minimal improvement of 0.06%, gaining 0.13 point to 219.62 points, with 66 gainers and 79 decliners. Trade volume on this northern exchange totaled 43.72 million shares worth VND690 billion.
