BANGKOK – Style Bangkok 2024, the largest international exhibition of fashion, lifestyle and handmade design products in Thailand, has returned with its seventh edition.
The event is being co-held by the Department of International Trade Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Board of Trade of Thailand, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of Thailand, said the fashion and lifestyle industry is a showcase of Thailand’s potential, producing diverse products with innovative ideas and contributing an important role in promoting the country’s economy.
Srettha added that Style Bangkok 2024 also serves as a platform to promote and raise awareness of people and entrepreneurs on the path towards sustainable development.
The event features 505 companies and 826 booths showcasing an array of lifestyle products from international designers, local artisans, craftsmen, and small and medium enterprises.
Event-goers have the opportunity to explore a diverse array of products, ranging from furniture to fashion items from both local and global markets.
The latest eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices are being introduced across various industries, including garment production and interior furniture and decoration. OTOP (One Town One Product) products are being promoted, serving as a means to preserve Thailand’s traditional craftsmanship while also providing increased income opportunities for local artisans.
Vu Anh Tuyet, a Vietnamese garment exhibitor at Style Bangkok 2024, said that Vietnamese booths are provided at no cost by the organizers as part of a promotion to attract more international traders to Thailand. This event serves as an opportunity to connect with wholesale clients from around the world.
Charukit Hongwises, manager of Dé Bua, a company specializing in accessories crafted from leaves, highlighted the event’s emphasis on sustainability. Speaking about his eco-friendly products, he noted that the prices range from 1,800 to 3,500 Thai baht, with a wholesale discount of 20-25%. Despite the current high cost of raw materials, he revealed that the Vietnamese market remains a part of his future business plan.
Style Bangkok 2024 is open from March 20 to 24 at Level G, Halls 1-4 of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).
