Must read

On May 19th, in Tay Ninh, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Tay Ninh People’s Committee, De Heus Group (Netherlands), and Hung Nhon Group jointly organized a series of events including the Grand Opening Ceremony of DHN Tay Ninh High-Tech Livestock Farming Zone, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of seven key projects of DHN Tay Ninh High-Tech Agricultural Complex, the Recognition Ceremony of Disease-Free Zone in Tay Ninh Province and Announcement Ceremony for Poultry Product Exports to Halal markets.

With nearly 1,000 delegates and guests, including central government leaders, officials from the Government Office, leaders from various ministries, and leaders from over 20 provinces and cities nationwide, as well as representatives from embassies, consulates general, and commercial counselors from various countries, this series of events is considered the largest and most significant international-scale event in the agricultural sector in Tay Ninh and the southeastern region to date.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang tours the product showcase of the De Heus – Hung Nhon partnership

In his opening speech, Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of Hung Nhon Group, said that Hung Nhon always considers Tay Ninh a priority locality in the group’s development strategy. “To demonstrate our commitment and professionalism, we broke ground on phase 1 of the project just one month after signing the memorandum of understanding with Tay Ninh Province. Today, after more than 10 months of construction and completion, we are proud to inaugurate phase 1 of the project,” Mr. Hung said. He also affirmed that all projects undertaken by Hung Nhon in Tay Ninh apply 100% high-tech, environmentally friendly solutions according to international standards from the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien expressed his excitement and pride in Hung Nhon’s status as one of the agricultural enterprises capable of partnering with a leading global agricultural corporation like De Heus. “The core value of this event lies not only in the restructuring and reshaping of Tay Ninh’s livestock sector but also in setting an example of developing the livestock sector towards industrialization and modernization as per the Prime Minister’s approved strategy,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, also reiterated that the Provincial People’s Committee organized a conference to announce the Prime Minister’s Decision approving the provincial planning for Tay Ninh for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision till 2050. Achieving this goal would certainly require contributions from enterprises, especially those with investment projects aligning with Tay Ninh’s seven breakthrough development areas. The DHN Tay Ninh High-Tech Agricultural Complex by De Heus and Hung Nhon, with its many outstanding features, is one of the projects that the provincial leadership is particularly interested in and strongly supports.

Regarding the decision to select Tay Ninh as a key investment locality, Mr. Gabor Fluit, Global CEO of De Heus, evaluated Tay Ninh as having many potentials and strengths in attracting FDI, especially in the field of high-tech agriculture. He also elaborated on the seven key projects in phase 2 of the DHN Tay Ninh project, including a breeding farm system, an export poultry farm, and a food processing plant. These are crucial projects within the De Heus-Hung Nhon value chain.

Additionally, at the event, representatives from the Provincial People’s Committee of Tay Ninh, Hung Nhon, and ORVIA Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation. The project is divided into two phases. Specifically, phase 1 (2025-2027) will construct a high-tech, modern hatchery covering about 2 hectares, supplying the market with 1.2 million breeding ducks per year. It will also build an organic fertilizer plant certified by USDA/EU standards, covering about 20-30 hectares, producing and supplying approximately 120,000-150,000 tons of organic and microbial fertilizers to the market. Phase 2 (2027-2030) will invest in high-tech livestock farms on a total area of 80 hectares, providing about 4 million breeding ducks and 18 million meat ducks annually for the domestic market and export to international markets. The total investment for the entire project is VND2,000 billion.

Furthermore, Hung Nhon, together with De Heus, Ngoc Bich Company, and the “The gioi cua Kien thuc va Ket noi” Company, signed a cooperation agreement for the production and supply of Halal standard livestock products. According to the agreement, De Heus will supply Halal standard livestock and aquaculture feed for the “Ngoc Bich – Kien thuc va Ket noi” chain. The “Hung Nhon – Ngoc Bich” chain will follow high-tech farming procedures to produce Halal standard livestock products. “Kien thuc va Ket noi” will provide consulting and guidance on production processes and handle Halal certification procedures.

One of the humanitarian activities associated with the May 19 event series was the DHN Charity Fund’s donation of VND500 million for the construction of charity houses in Tan Chau District, Tay Ninh Province. Additionally, the DHN Charity Fund presented a savings book worth VND50 million to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Pham Thi Nam and 10 disadvantaged policy families in Tan Chau District.
