HCMC – Sun Group, one of Vietnam’s leading real estate developers, has proposed investing in several major social and technical infrastructure projects in HCMC under a public-private partnership (PPP), specifically through build-transfer (BT) contracts.
The firm wants to undertake major projects in the former Thu Duc City through build-transfer (BT) contracts, with land allocation and investment rights in the 147-hectare Truong Tho Urban Area offered in return.
The proposed projects include the 187-hectare Rach Chiec National Sports Complex and the 395-hectare National Cultural and Historical Park.
It has also proposed studying the development of a 40-kilometer road with eight to 10 lanes along the Saigon River, alongside a metro or tramway line running parallel to the river.
These two projects have also been proposed under build-transfer (BT) contracts, in exchange for land and investment rights in about 4,100 hectares of riverside areas along the Saigon River in the former Cu Chi District.
The group has committed that, if selected as an investor in accordance with legal regulations, it will make every effort to implement the projects, contributing to urban transformation, improving residents’ quality of life, and promoting the socio-economic development of HCMC.
Sun Group also expressed its hope that the city will continue to support its initiatives and introduce additional potential land plots for the group to study, assess, and propose suitable investment plans.
