HCMC – Hanoi welcomed an estimated 553,000 international visitors in July, up by 25.2% year-on-year, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
The capital city recorded around 2.8 million visitors in July, up 10% from the same month in 2024. Domestic travelers accounted for roughly 2.25 million arrivals, rising 7.1% year-on-year, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.
Tourism revenue in July was estimated at VND10.68 trillion, up 13.9% compared to last year.
From January to July, Hanoi is estimated to have received more than 18.36 million visitors, an 11.6% increase from the same period last year. Total tourism revenue during the seven-month period reached VND73 trillion, up 14.5% year-on-year.
Hanoi currently has over 3,760 lodging facilities with more than 71,000 guest rooms, including 85 hotels and serviced apartments rated between one and five stars. The city continues to upgrade its lodging infrastructure, offering a mix of five-star hotels and boutique homestays reflecting the Old Quarter’s cultural heritage.
In addition, 58 service establishments in Hanoi have been certified as meeting standards for tourists. These include specialty restaurants, shopping venues, entertainment facilities, and wellness centers.
