HCMC – A batch of 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine that the Government of Argentina donated to Vietnam arrived at the Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi yesterday afternoon, November 24.
The vaccine handover ceremony was attended by representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and Argentinian Ambassador to Vietnam Luis Pablo Maria Beltramino.
Given the complicated Covid situation in Vietnam and the world, the donation from the Government of Argentina is a meaningful gesture and reflects the importance of the comprehensive partnership, as well as the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
It is also a part of Argentina’s practical support for Vietnam to facilitate the latter’s vaccination drives and bring the pandemic under control.
