IHG Hotels & Resorts is expanding its global luxury portfolio, underscored by the opening of Six Senses London, as Vietnam gains prominence as a strategic market amid rising tourism demand.

Located in London’s Bayswater district, Six Senses London marks the brand’s debut in the United Kingdom. Housed in the historic Whiteley building, the property features 109 rooms and suites, 14 branded residences, and a 2,300-square-meter wellness complex, including the city’s first magnesium pool and advanced spa facilities.

The project, designed by AvroKO with EPR Architects, preserves the landmark’s historic façade while introducing contemporary interiors inspired by the Art Deco period. A restored grand staircase beneath a glass dome highlights the blend of heritage and modern luxury central to the brand’s identity.

The launch is part of IHG’s broader expansion of its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, which includes Six Senses, InterContinental and Kimpton. Since acquiring Six Senses in 2019, the group has accelerated development across global destinations.

Vietnam has emerged as a key focus market. In early 2026, Rêve Ho Chi Minh City – Vignette Collection opened, adding to IHG’s growing footprint in the country.

Industry analysts say Vietnam’s rising international arrivals and expanding tourism infrastructure are attracting global hotel brands, positioning the country as a long-term growth hub for luxury hospitality.
