Six & Six Private Islands has announced plans to develop six ultra-luxury island projects in the Maldives over the next six years, aiming to expand the market for branded residences and attract affluent buyers from Vietnam.
The Malé-based hospitality group said the developments will combine private ownership with resort-style services, targeting growing demand among wealthy Vietnamese for second homes and lifestyle investments abroad.
The company said its projects will be built around three core principles: authenticity, artistic design, and sustainable development. Each island will feature a distinct architectural concept and will be designed to meet international environmental standards, including EarthCheck certification.
The first two projects, Rah Gili Maldives and Don Maaga Maldives, are located in South Malé Atoll.
Rah Gili will offer 74 beachfront and overwater villas with private pools and open-plan living spaces. The resort will also feature activities such as diving, dolphin watching and coral conservation.
Don Maaga is aimed at ultra-high-net-worth individuals, with villas of up to 9,000 square meters and personalized services including private chefs and butlers, along with wellness facilities and multiple dining options.
The expansion comes as Vietnam’s luxury travel and outbound investment sectors continue to grow, creating new opportunities for Vietnamese investors seeking exclusive assets in global destinations such as the Maldives.
