HCMC – The American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam HCMC (AmCham Vietnam HCMC) announced on August 5 the appointment of Travis Mitchell as executive director.

Mitchell brings over a decade of experience in Southeast Asia, having previously served as the executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia.

During his previous tenure, he strengthened ties between the U.S. and Cambodian business communities and played a pivotal role in facilitating investment and growth.

His background in policy advocacy, public health, and community activism has also contributed to his success in the region.

“I’m excited to join AmCham Vietnam HCMC and leverage my experience to drive the chamber’s mission forward,” said Mitchell. “I look forward to working closely with our members, the Vietnamese government, and other stakeholders to create a thriving business environment in Vietnam.”

AmCham Vietnam HCMC Chairperson Ramachandran A.S. (RamC) expressed enthusiasm about Mitchell’s appointment, emphasizing his expertise in U.S.-Vietnam trade and investment.

“We believe Travis’s leadership will be instrumental in propelling AmCham Vietnam HCMC to new heights as we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year,” said RamC.
