HCMC – Ba Ria Thermal Power JSC, whose BTP shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, plans to pay a cash dividend of 26.47% for 2023.
Shareholders will receive VND2,647 for each share held. The record date to finalize the shareholder list is March 15, and the payment date is March 29.
In 2023, the firm reported gross revenue of VND787.45 billion, up by 53.3% year-on-year, and after-tax profit of VND72.4 billion, up by 2.4%.
Closing the trading session today, February 27, BTP stock inched up by 4.35% over the previous session to VND18,000 per share.
The Hochiminh Stock Exchange saw a continued uptrend today, with the VN-Index rising by 1.09%, or 13.29 points, to 1,237.46 points at the close. Winners nearly quadrupled losers on the southern exchange at a ratio of 380 to 98.
Stock trade improved by 11% in volume and 10% in value, with nearly one billion shares valued at VND23 trillion changing hands. Block deals totaled 70 million shares worth VND1.6 trillion.
HPG shares of steel maker Hoa Phat Group and VCB shares of Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam were the biggest contributors to the VN-Index, at 2.3 and 2.2 points.
HPG shares surged by 5.4% to VND30,350 per share, with a matching volume of more than 86.8 million shares, the highest on the market, while VCB gained 1.8% to VND91,100 per share, with 1.6 million shares traded.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased by 2.52 points, or 1.08%, to 235.38 points. The northern market had 101 advancers and 60 decliners, and a trading volume of 92 million shares worth VND1.8 trillion.
