HCMC – A fire erupted this afternoon at the manufacturing plant of Kwang Gun Textile Vina, a specialized textile production company located at the My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park in Binh Duong Province.
The fire consumed a 1,500-square-meter warehouse, reducing it to rubble.
Workers inside the factory noticed the flame at around 11 a.m. and promptly raised the alarm. Despite their immediate efforts to extinguish the fire using on-site firefighting equipment, the blaze quickly spread throughout the extensive factory space.
Due to the presence of flammable fabric materials in the warehouse, the fire rapidly intensified. As a precautionary measure, all employees were swiftly evacuated from the premises.
Over 140 officers, firefighters, and firefighting robots, accompanied by specialized fire engines, were mobilized by the Binh Duong Firefighting Department to contain the inferno. Given the magnitude of the fire, firefighting personnel approached from multiple directions and utilized specialized foam to suppress the blaze.
After two hours of relentless efforts, the fire was brought under control. There were no reported casualties. However, the blaze caused significant damage to the warehouse and its contents.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire, while an assessment of the extent of the damages is being conducted.
