HCMC – Tran Quang Can, former vice board chairman at Vietnam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Corporation (stock code: VNE), has offloaded his 7.15% stake totaling over 5.86 million VNE shares.
From January to September, Vietnam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Corporation (VNECO) posted a 61% year-on-year decrease in gross revenue, totaling VND647.3 billion. However, its post-tax profit surged by 195% to VND4.4 billion.
By the end of September, its total assets dropped by 10% over January to VND3.6 trillion. Liabilities accounted for VND2.5 trillion of the total assets, including short-term debts of VND1 trillion and long-term debts of VND783 billion.
Its VNE shares stayed at the reference price at the close today, December 5, at VND6,620, with 527,200 shares matched.
The VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange today ended 4.52 points lower than in the previous session, or 0.4%, at 1,115.97 points, with 141 winners and 356 losers.
The market saw lower trading, with over 824.6 million shares worth VND17 trillion traded, down 26% in volume and 29% in value compared to the session earlier. Block deals contributed nearly VND1.6 trillion to the overall value, with 71.2 million shares changing hands.
Petty stock LDG, despite closing 2.5% lower at VND3,130, saw a trading volume of over 37.7 million shares, becoming the most actively traded stock of the day.
The HNX-Index moved sideways with a marginal increase of 0.01%, closing at 231.34 points. The northern bourse saw 63 advancers and 99 decliners, with a trading volume of about 91.8 million shares valued at VND2 trillion.
