HCMC – Four patients who are from the first group of new Covid-19 cases in Danang City have been declared free of Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, by the Danang Hospital for Lung Diseases.
The four comprise three residents of Danang City and one from Quang Ngai Province, VietnamPlus news site reported.
These patients, aged from 41 to 58, have tested negative for the disease three or four times, the hospital announced this morning, August 10.
After being released from the hospital, the four patients who recovered, including the 423rd, 424th, 441st and 442nd cases, will continue to remain in home quarantine and be monitored by medical workers.
Nguyen Trong Khoa, deputy head of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment at the Ministry of Health, said this was good news not just for the health sector but also for the community.
Among the active 242 Covid-19 patients receiving treatment at Danang-based hospitals, many have tested negative for the virus from one to four times, according to the Danang Department of Health.
The Danang Hospital for Lung Diseases is treating 58 patients of Covid-19, while 184 are being treated at the health center in Hoa Vang District.
