GBA honors outstanding firms at 2025 Business Awards

HCMC – The German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA) held the GBA Business Awards 2025 on September 19 in HCMC, celebrating those enterprises that have made remarkable achievements in innovation, sustainability, and community impact.

The event coincided with the 30th anniversary of GBA, marking three decades of supporting German business and values in Vietnam. It was attended by Andrea Maria Suhl, Consul General of Germany in HCMC, along with long-time partners and members of the association.

GBA Chairman Alexander Ziehe said the awards not only celebrate excellence but also highlight the role German enterprises play in Vietnam’s economic development. He noted that this year’s winners will represent the German business community at the upcoming EuroCham Business Awards, strengthening their visibility in the wider European network.

German Consul General Andrea Maria Suhl emphasized that the recognized achievements show Germany’s role as a strategic partner in Vietnam’s growth. She said German firms are committed to long-term investment, innovation, and responsible business practices, contributing to Vietnam’s ambition of becoming a high-income country.

In its second edition, the awards drew over 30 nominations from large enterprises (LEs) and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For the first time, SMEs competed across all categories, underscoring their growing role in Vietnam’s business landscape. A new live voting format allowed participants to directly select the winners.

Founded in 1995, GBA is one of the first foreign business associations in Vietnam. With more than 400 businesses and corporate partners, it represents German business interests nationwide and is a founding member of EuroCham Vietnam.
