HCMC – HCMC plans to allocate more than VND10.4 trillion to upgrade the National Highway No. 22 section from An Suong intersection to Beltway No. 3, with land clearance expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026.
The HCMC People’s Committee has announced a plan to implement the renovation and upgrade of National Highway 22 through a public-private partnership (PPP) under a BOT contract.
The city will give priority to using state budget funds for project implementation, including investment preparation, compensation, support, resettlement, and construction.
The project’s total estimated cost is around VND10.4 trillion, including contributions from the city’s budget and the investor’s capital.
The first component of the project, which covers compensation, support, resettlement, and infrastructure relocation in Hoc Mon District, along with the second component concerning infrastructure relocation in District 12, is expected to complete the procedures for compensation, support, resettlement, and technical infrastructure relocation by the first quarter of 2026.
The third component, which focuses on the investment in the construction, renovation, and upgrading of National Highway No. 22, is anticipated to complete the preparation, appraisal, and approval of the feasibility study report by the third quarter of 2025.
