HCMC – A 60-year-old Israeli expert who was quarantined upon his arrival in Vietnam has been confirmed as positive for Covid-19, raising the country’s tally to 1,203 as of this morning, November 4, said the Health Ministry.
The expert was transported to a quarantine facility in Hanoi after he arrived at Noi Bai airport from Qatar on October 31. He is under medical treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
As of 6 a.m. today, Vietnam had confirmed 691 community-transmitted cases of Covid-19, with 551 cases being recorded since July 25. The country has not reported any fresh case from community transmission for 63 consecutive days.
Among the country’s total infections, 1,069 cases have fully recovered while 35 others have died of the novel coronavirus.
