Korean artists perform “The Dance Of Time” in Hue

Artists from the Gyeonggi Dance Association from South Korea performed “The Dance of Time: Tradition & Modernity” at Duyet Thi Duong Theatre on November 22.

This is an activity within the Hue Festival 2024’s winter session, responding to the Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

The show features seven acts, combining traditional Korean dances—such as “Tae Pyung Mu” (Dance of Peace), Crane Dance, “Ganggu Yeonwol Mu,” and “Palbag-sugeon-chum”—with contemporary choreography reflecting aspects of love, modern life, and society, including “Glitch” “Dear Birth from Death” and “Longing”. These performances promise to evoke a range of emotions from the audience.

Introduction to the Gyeonggi Dance Association of South Korea:

The Gyeonggi Dance Association of South Korea, with its branch in Gyeonggi province, is one of the ten associations under the Korean Federation of Arts and Cultural Organizations. The Federation was established by the National Cultural Agency of South Korea on December 16, 1961.

The Korean Federation of Arts and Cultural Organizations operates with the aim of fostering solidarity and friendship among dancers in Gyeonggi-do and contributing to the development and promotion of Korean dance arts. The Federation has 25 regional branches across the country.

The Gyeonggi Dance Association is a cultural and artistic organization specializing in three main dance genres: traditional dance, ballet, and modern dance; Additionally, the Association actively participates in various social and volunteer activities.
