From September 6 to 16, Saigon Café hosts “Straight Outta Malaysia,” following the success of “Straight Outta Kuala Lumpur” in 2023, showcasing a kaleidoscope of Malaysian flavors.

During the ten-day program, Chef Amin Ariff and Chef Azhar Nordin from Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur will treat food lovers to an array of authentic and innovative Malaysian dishes.

Diners can savor the renowned laksa curry, with the perfect combination of traditional Malay gravy and the aromatic spiciness of curry leaves, creating an explosion of creamy and spicy flavors. They can embark on a culinary exploration of Malay influences with rice and bread dishes paired with curries like Dhal Curry, a Malaysian specialty popularized by the Indian community, influenced by the ancient Harappan civilization around the Indus River basin.

A variety of curries are served with the characteristic Malaysian roti canai bread. At the grill station, a series of Satay skewers, originating from Arabic cuisine, are presented in an eye-catching manner with the distinctive aroma of peanut sauce.
