HCMC – Several ministries and agencies will meet to comprehensively review a new land price list proposed by HCMC.

On September 5, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a meeting to provide updates on government decrees guiding  the implementation of the 2024 Land Law.

Speaking about the proposed land price list of HCMC, Dao Trung Chinh, director of the Department of Planning and Land Resource Development at the ministry, said that according to current regulations, localities can continue using the land price lists they issued based on the 2013 Land Law until the end of 2025. In certain cases, provincial people’s committees may decide to adjust them as per the 2024 Land Law.

Chinh added HCMC and other provinces also need to adjust their land price lists. These adjustments must balance land use fees, land rental rates, and compensation for individuals whose land is being reclaimed by the State.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Minh Ngan said that the ministry is working closely with other ministries to address challenges in revising HCMC’s new land price list.

In July, the HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment sought feedback on a draft decision to adjust Decision No. 02/2020, concerning the city’s land price list. According to the draft, land prices in certain downtown streets, such as Nguyen Hue, Le Loi, and Dong Khoi, may reach up to VND810 million per square meter.
