Nam Long Group has new CEO

HCMC – Real estate firm Nam Long Group (HOSE: NLG) has named Lucas Ignatius Loh Jen Yuh as its new general director, with effect from March 30, replacing Tran Ngoc Xuan.

Lucas Ignatius Loh Jen Yuh has over 20 years’ experience in leadership and senior management at CapitaLand. He has held various positions including vice chairman and CEO at Ascott Group, and chief investment officer, CEO, and chairman at CapitaLand.

In 2023, NLG posted revenue of nearly VND3.2 trillion, down by 26% from 2022, and net profit of VND483.7 billion.

Closing the trading session today, March 6, NLG edged up by 1.3% to VND43,000 per share, with a matching volume of nearly six million shares.

The benchmark VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 7.25 points, or 0.57%, at 1,262.73, with decliners outnumbering advancers by 356 to 130.

Trade on the HCMC exchange picked up by 5% in volume at around 1.06 billion shares and 2% in value at nearly VND24.9 trillion. Block deals accounted for 61 million shares valued at VND1.7 trillion.

Property developer HQC took the lead by liquidity today with over 45.9 million shares changing hands. It shot up to its daily upper limit of VND4,570 per share at the close.

On the Hanoi exchange, the HNX-Index ended 1.9 points lower than the previous session at 235.45 points, with 63 winners and 115 losers.

The northern market saw nearly 108.1 million shares valued at over VND2.2 trillion traded.
